The most special of duos ๐
These two have waited a very long time, March 2024 will mark 4 years in rescue for this pair so we would love to find them a home before then.
Both came to Almost Home separately in March 2020, along with a large number of failed hunting dogs, Max & Macy are now the last of those dogs to be rehomed.
Macy (now around 8) arrived with her two sisters Mia & Madison. Madison, the most confident of the sisters was rehomed but Mia & Macy needed more time to build their confidence & trust in humans.
Max (now around 5) is a beautiful but very shy boy around humans, itโs taken him a long time but heโs learnt to trust our volunteers and now enjoys little interactions and strokes with us every day.
Last July our hearts were broken to discover that Mia was terminally ill and passed away, leaving Macy on her own.
In an effort to keep her spirits up and to stop her feeling lonely, our team decided to pair Macy with Maximus and the two have been inseparable ever since.
We previously had advertised Maximus for rehoming on his own, however the team have decided it would be in Max & Macyโs best interest to try to find them a forever home together.
We appreciate that adopting not only one, but two shy dogs is not an easy undertaking for anyone, but we really believe there is a perfect home out there with the time, patience and love to give them – and we know the best things in life are always worth waiting for!
Weโre looking for โฆ.
a quiet settled home with no children under 14
A very secure garden
A family willing to fully commit to giving this pair all the patience, time and love they will need to settle in their new family
There will be a huge line of volunteers crying the happiest of tears on the day these two leave us to start their new journeys with their new family. We will miss them terribly, but we know the right family is out there for our beautiful Max & Macyโฆ
Could it be with you?
